Senior Web Developer, Jersey

An exciting opportunity to work as a Senior Web Developer within our Jersey based in-house development team. The Developer would be working as part of a Scrum team of multi-skilled colleagues on a wide range of projects across the business. They would also be expected to work closely with the Scrum Master, Project Managers and Stakeholders to plan future development work and direction. The role also requires the Developer to work closely with our London based in-house development team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working in a highly collaborative, Agile Scrum environment to deliver features across applications

• Building and maintaining clean and efficient code using industry best practice

• Collaborating with stakeholders and the development team (planning/pair programming/peer reviewing)

• Acting as lead engineer on cross department projects

• Contributing to internal development procedures and best practices

Skills / Qualifications:

• Previous working experience as a PHP Developer for at least 3 years

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of MVC frameworks

• Familiarity with SQL design and schema

• Experience of using industry best practice to create scalable and manageable applications

• Experience of building RESTful web services

• Good knowledge of version control tools
